19 Taxi Boats in Seribu Islands Have Met Requirements

Teens of traditional boats or taxi boat for crossing to Seribu Islands have met the requirements.

"Boat's safety equipments such as standard seats, buoys and rigid rafts should be completed. If not, the boat is not allowed to transport passengers

"There have been 19 boats, it is hoped would be increased. It is also for passengers' safety," said Head of Seribu Islands Transportation Sub-Department, Marihot Sirait, Monday (10/19).

16 Taxi Boats Have Sailing Permit

According to him, his party will keep appealing boat owners to fulfill the requirement. Thus their boat could be allowed to transport passengers from Kali Adem Port.

"Boat's safety equipments such as standard seats, buoys and rigid rafts should be completed. If not, the boat is not allowed to transport passengers," he asserted.

He disclosed, on last weekend Saturday (10/17) until Sunday (10/18), there were 24 boats departed from Kali Adem Port.

"There were 24 boats departed last weekend with a total passenger were 2,824 passengers, it's still normal," he explained.
